Happy Saint Patrick Day: Still looking four my four leaf clover :)

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day (Patron of Ireland, country that has given us so many Fairy myths and legends). I like Celtic music and play myself Irish whistle and harp, and other traditional instruments that are usually featured in my recordings. Though my reinterpretations and original songs are not traditional, this influence is undeniable.

Though the tradition was born as a Christian celebration (being the death of the Patron Saint of Ireland) for me it’s a celebration of green.

First blooms in the forest growing on padded moss

So today is all about green… I love wearing green and usually wear it the whole year to the point some of my friends and neighbours make jokes about it as if I were some kind of pixie. I love green so much that I classify my clothing in my wardrobe by “shades of green”… mossy green, forest green… It´s a green that shifts through the seasons. A green that becomes vibrant in Spring and muted in Winter.

Late winter into Spring… the green turns greener…

So Kermit the Frog once said It’s not easy being green. Today might be the easiest day to be, because it is told Leprechauns will pinch on you if you do not wear it. And also as Kermit said… green is the colour I want to be. For me it represents my “Mother Nature” which I like to worship. I hike regularly (with my partner @hedac) and find it an enless source of inspiration.

Branches don’t stay bare forever

late winter into spring - by priscilla Hernandez (yidneth.com)-3 - Priscilla Hernandez.jpg

We have endured Winter, and yes, for some it’s been harsh, and branches have faced winds and even some of them have broken all naked and bare

These days I’m rejoicing to see the first budding leaves unfolding… if you care to see those little buds sprouting… they seem small but they’re a promise of life (and luck maybe)

and we must now remember it won’t be long until this happen again

And this is a message I leave to all of you for interpretation 🙂

Blessings

Meanwhile outside, the first leaves are starting to unfold… Pay attention… You don’t want to miss this magical moment of “transformation” . Light returns and all comes to life. Days are longer… make the most of them!

I love the moment when the wintry bare forest starts to turn green. Now it’s time to grow.

By the way, I’ve never found a “four leaf clover” myself… wish me a little bit of “LUCK” to find one (and for all the things that matter to me). Best wishes back!
The leaves of Shamrocks and common 3 leaf clovers are said to stand for faith, hope, love and the less common variants with four, luck. The “luck of the Irish” might be related to the fact that in that country is where these rare variants of clovers are more easily found.

Grounding in Nature: Winter mossy woods on a rainy day

Above: Me, Sunday 20th of January 2019. Rainy day, damp floor, crisp air and the greenest moss

The beginning of 2019 came with so many resolutions, I’m struggling to keep up but going at my pace… Nothing is done until it’s done, like one of my forthcoming songs says, so I have set my goals with no deadline, I just follow the task list and cross out a couple of things every day. Most important one is to nurture myself back to full health and for that I have started jogging again, fixing my messed sleep schedule, tidying my working environment and of course the best therapy of all… Nature.

The first day of the year: Hello 2019 from a Mystical Forest

Finding what I’ve lost

As I wrote in my previous entry, I entered this 2019 full of resolutions, but one thing that was clear to me is that I wanted to spend the first day outdoors, grounding, healing and connecting with Nature. And so off we went to look for an item we had lost just a few days prior when we were filming for a forthcoming video, not hoping to find it but enjoying to retrace our trail back. And It was found… which I consider a sign of good luck… Because that is precisely one of feelings I want to cherish… You may think you’ve lost something yet you might not.

Happy New Year. Welcome 2019. My resolutions

Caressing the Sun. Hello 2019
Hello 2019

Happy New Year. Wishing all my fellow friends a lovely closing of the year, and the will and determination you may need to succeed in your resolutions. I am going to share mine in this post. The Wheel of the year starts again.. A fresh start..

If you fail the first time you can always try again

I am writing this as a free write because one of the things I’d like to change is not to overthink things so much. Sometimes I’m a perfectionist and that makes that I don’t finish things, or that I don’t share them at all… some works have been forever “being completed”. I want to be more spontaneous and share more “works in progress”. There is always time for “polishing”

My main goals

Hirvi and family: befriending a family of Deer

doe young deer - by_ - Priscilla Hernandez.jpg
Are you happy to see me? My deer friends: Hirvi’s daughter all grown up into a beautiful doe

Still not over the flu but after two weeks of coughing and feeling unwell I knew what I needed to recover was to connect back with Nature, hug a tree, smell the damp forest floor. So I have been going out these last few days, but I’ll keep some of the hikes for another post. Grounding in Nature is the best way to heal it, I swear, I felt it clearing my lungs. Yesterday we also hiked and enjoyed the beauty of this moody Autumn season.

So, for the above reason, some days ago  me and HĂ©ctor (who seems recovered from the bug) and I went to feed my “deer” friend Hirvi and his family, that we have been befriending for the last year and a half. They all came running to us like puppies as soon as we stirred close their living area. They already know we often come visit with treats. The baby fawn is now all grown up into a beautiful young doe and ate bread for the first time. I swear she was smiling all the time enjoying the new flavours, and so excited about it. Mum doe ate lots of carrots. Proud stag looks like a crowned king with the antlers fully grown, a true Guardian of the Forest

Suspended: A moody Autumn story illustrated with photographs….

Hoja Suspendida - by Hector Corcin.gif

A little freewrite moody poem and a leaf that caught my eye last weekend. So I go on with my slightly darker tone this October. I have been collecting some leaves and saving them in books. I do this every Autumn, but somehow the words rushed into my mind and I had to share them. Poem and photos by myself. It is not really a song but I’m kind of thinking of recording a spoken word version along with a melancholic music instrumental piece… what do you think?

Farewell to Summer at Xorroxin waterfall: Last Summer Days with fellow friends

xorroxin waterfall - by Priscilla Hernandez (yidneth.com)-2 - Priscilla Hernandez.jpg

Above: me wearing my Spanish Luna Moth wings by Xorroxin Waterfall (Navarre, Spain)

Last week my friends Estela and Nalian came to visit and our first hike was to visit this well known waterfall and pond in Navarre, Spain. We parked in a little village called Gorostapolo. The village is very small and there are some days you will have to park in the previous village, Erratzu and walk a mile or two from there. From Gorostapolo is a very short hike of just about a mile through the woods.

TBT: Making of the videoclip Ethereal a song about lucid dreaming. Easter eggs, anecdotes and more

Ethereal is inspired in all things clear. Sometimes when you you are in lucid dream I feel that my feet can float, that I’m like air, foam, sparkling dewdrops, ethereal.

Light as a feather

And when I feel I’m drowning in darkness I try to remember the light in myself. And I remember I know a way to rise

we grow wings out of our abyssal fins to take flight and feel ethereal.

Watch and listen the music video while you keep on reading
